Werner REIS GmbH is known all around Germany as a reliable supplier of high-precision machine tool components. The application of innovative tools and an enormous capacity of the machine tools provide the company with the means to efficiently process materials of difficult machinability, such as stainless steel and high-grade steel.

The history of the company Werner REIS GmbH

The coded welder Werner Reis founded the welding company in 1961 with an initial manufacturing area of 250 m² (2,691 ft²). In 1970, the company moved to the industrial area Getmold and increased its manufacturing area to 600 m² (6,458 ft²). The department of mechanical engineering was established within the company REIS in 1975 and led to the Werner REIS Maschinenbau GmbH in 1985. The construction of the REIS plant in the year 2000 increased the manufacturing area to 3,500 m² (37,674 ft²) and the expansion of plant II further increased it to 4,400 m² (47,361 ft²). Between 2002 and 2010 it was possible for the company to put several portal milling machines into operation and REIS invests since its early beginnings continuously into state-of-the-art production technology. The networking of modern CAD/CAM tools with highly efficient CNC machines as well as progressive machining tools is constantly streamlined and purposefully optimized.
