It is also equipped with a router motor (1200-18000 r/min), 2 moulder spindle units, a 4-fold tool changer, and 8 workpiece support rails with suction vacuum cups for each panel support. The Author 500 from Morbidelli has a weight of 3,700 kg (8154.8 lb) and a maximum panel thickness of 80 mm. It includes one or two routing spindles, a pod and rail table, a slotting saw, a vacuum pump, as well as a loading device.
